Lifting the ceiling off our new classrooms!
Please take 2 minutes to read Lauren’s story which was inspired by watching the trailer to the hit film ‘Avatar’. Lauren is a level 4b writer and is hoping to be a level 5 writer by the end of year 6. I think she is well on her way! Please leave a comment for her if you have time.
Hi Lauren,
I’ve just read your story while I was having my lunch. Very exciting. I particularly liked the way you set the scene in the opening paragraph with all those vibrant colours. It helped me to get a clear picture in my head. Well done.

Well done Lauren. What a creative piece of work! I think you need to write a sequel to this story….
Well done Lauren, really enjoyed this and it reminded me of a story (and great film) called the War of the Worlds by HG Wells. I am an ICT teacher at the Hereford Academy (where?) and will be working on this project with Yr 8 students (a little older than you).
I would like to make a podcast of your story so my class can listen to it, if I have your permission of course!
Thanks again

lauren, this is very well written, especially when describing the place. I also enjoyed how you described the helicoptors taking off. A very exciting short story!

Hi Lauren,
This is a fantastic piece of writing well done I hope you are very proud! Like other people have commented I love the description you have used so well done! My favourite bit was the ending. You could really imagine all the people of Manchester coming together to celebrate the defeat of the Styomrys!
Hi Lauren, you’re right! I typed ‘Lauren Pandora’ into google and this came out at the top…way to go!
